Kobelco Construction Machinery has announced the launch of a brand-new telescopic crawler crane, the Kobelco TKE750G, targeted specifically toward the European crane market.
Featuring a maximum lifting capacity of 75 metric tonnes, Kobelco’s newest crane possesses a maximum main boom length of 30.1m, at which it can lift 18.5 tonnes at a radius of eight metres using four lines. The crane also comes with an EU Stage V compliant Mercedes-Benz engine and continues the same basic concept of the G series lattice boom crawler cranes.
The increased engine capacity is only one of a plethora of new features in the latest launch by Kobelco, however; the crane possesses a shorter boom length with higher winch capacity and stronger, thicker wire ropes, offering higher productivity in foundation works, where telescopic crawlers are so frequently used.
The Kobelco TKE750G is equipped with an “exceptionally” stiff four-plate box structural boom, according to a press release from the Japanese manufacturer. Because of the short boom length that features side deflection-resistance, the crane thrives on compact jobsites.
News of Kobelco’s latest crane comes after Australian East Coast crane hire company, Borger Cranes, purchased six new crawler cranes through the Baden Davis Crane Connection.
Kobelco’s products are distributed by TRT across New Zealand and in Australia with help from the NSW-based Baden Davis Crane Connection.
