More than just a spit and polish!
We were happy to help and be a part of Porter Group CE Heavy Haulage Peterbilt refurbishment.
The Porters team wanted to give their 1997 Peterbilt 357 a strip down, repaint and refit back to its 'off-the-showroom floor' glory when she first arrived in NZ.
We were able to supply numerous components through our Parts Department to help with the refurbishment - including a variety of specialised items: Air glide 200 Suspension parts, Cab mounts, Bonnet mounts and a Full 7” exhaust system to mention just a few.
We also conducted a site visit while the tractor unit was stripped down to its chassis, so we could measure up and get specifications for our in-house driveshaft division to custom-build a driveshaft (1810) and a jackshaft (1710) for the Peterbilt 357.
Let's not forget the refurbished burgundy leather upholstered seat, (a Bostrom T915) from our seating department - which finished off the cab perfectly.
Pretty as she is Porters will not be putting this thoroughbred out to pasture yet - the tractor unit is back on the road and hauling.
